Articles can have a collection of links to resources on the web that will help readers to acquire any basic knowledge required to properly understand the article. These are known as the Primer Links. The contributors may suggest a list of Primer Links. The editors will determine the final list of links to publish.
Articles can have a collection of Further Reading links. The contributors may suggest a list of Further Reading. The editors will determine the final list of links to publish. These links will appear in the locked section of the article.
Payments
At the end of each month Fraxion Payments calculates the total income for the web site and takes a margin. The Fraxion Payments margin is based on a sliding scale that decreases with sales total. The remaining income is divided proportionally amongst the articles based on sales for the month. The money is then divided amongst the following groups:
- Content Contributor(s), a single author or a group of authors and illustrators.
- Editor(s), a single editor or collaborative editors for proofing, comment moderating and so on.
- Magazine for web site, marketing costs, administrative staff, special projects and other purposes.
The actual split will be set for each article, with agreement of each contributor or editor, and will not be changed for that article unless the parties involved agree.
Currently the default split is as follows:
| Group | Percentage |
|---|---|
| Content Contributor(s) | 75% |
| Editor(s) | 10% |
| NSJ Magazine | 15% |
